Beer Release: Laissez Faire - Wine Barrel Aged Brett Ale

Join us to be the first to sample the third vintage of Vista's crowd-favorite wine barrel aged Brett ale: Laissez Faire!

This single strain Brett ale is tart and full-bodied with a beautiful pink hue and fruit notes of green grape and grapefruit rind on the nose. Pleasing tartness and balanced bitterness. Medium- bodied with a light effervescence and apricot on the finish.

Laissez Faire is a French phrase meaning “let things take their own course, without interfering.” We take that approach in our barrel program.

This beer began with Vista’s aquifer filtered well water, house-aged hops and 100% Texas-grown pilsner malt from TexMalt. It spent four months in freshly-emptied, 100% Sangiovese wine barrels from our neighbors on the Texas Wine Road with a single Brettanomyces Trois yeast strain.
