Join the Central Texas Mycological Society at Vista for a hands-on workshop where you'll learn the art and science of mushroom log inoculation. This session will highlight the use of plug and sawdust spawn cloned and grown by our dedicated members. Participants will engage in every step of the process and gain the knowledge to cultivate their own edible or medicinal mushrooms.

What You’ll Do:

• Participate in the entire inoculation process using tools such as drills, mallets, and wax sealers.

• Learn about wood selection, spawn handling, and log preparation, focusing on native reishi and turkey tail mushrooms, which are ideal for decomposing tree limbs while reducing wildfire fuel.

• Take home your inoculated log (if you bring your own hardwood log).

• Enjoy Vista brews, including several lagers, and farm-fresh lunch menu.
