This tree is mainly found in Central and Southern Texas, and we are particularly lucky to have so many here in Driftwood. In addition to being a beautiful shrub, with white and gray peeling bark and shiny green leave, the rich, dark fruit can be used in both sweet and savory dishes. The native animals really take a liking to this fruit as well, but we have plenty to go around!
This three course dinner will showcase the rich taste of the fruit, and our beer and wine pairings will accentuate Chef Stiver’s menu. Stay tuned for the menu to be released as we approach the event.
