Join us on Sunday, July 21 for a celebration of all things HONEY! The perfect combination of intentionally planting 6+ acres of wildflowers, a productive organic farm and a good amount of rain has produced a generous honey flow this spring! Our girls have been hard at work foraging and storing LOTS of honey.
From 12 to 5 PM, we’ll be sampling both our 2018 and 2019 honey crop inside the Vista Tasting Room…..the color and flavor variations are astounding. Join us at 12PM and 4:30PM for a walk to the Vista apiary to learn about our bees.
We’ll also host a live demonstrating showing how to extract & spin honey from a frame and how to render pure beeswax using a solar melter.
3:00 PM – Honey extraction & spinning demonstration
Our friends from the Hays County Beekeepers Association will be onsite if you’re interested in learning how to get started beekeeping.
We’ll have the new honey available in jars and honey straws, cut comb honey, beeswax candles and kid’s activities. Chef is cooking up menu specials featuring Vista honey, including (obviously) a sweet treat!
