Spend time outside on Vista’s 21 acres rediscovering what your ancestors knew, that there’s food everywhere, not just on store shelves and farmer’s markets. This adventure will use all of your senses and involves experiencing these useful plants in their normal, wild settings so that you’ll be able to properly identify (and eat!) them on your own later on. Merriwether will also detail the numerous ways he incorporates the plants into his family’s day-to-day diet and medicine chest. Come and release your inner caveman, foodie, survivalist, or hippie!
We’re offering two unique classes on Saturday, Aug. 31. For tickets, please visit our ticketing page.
